Honoring National Manufacturing Day

Celebrated on the first Friday in October, MFG Day provides an opportunity for US manufacturers to open their doors and share what manufacturing is — and what it isn’t.

In recognition of the vital role American manufacturing plays on the US economy, today, McCain celebrates national Manufacturing Day by honoring the hardworking men and women that make the American manufacturing industry thrive.

In addition to highlighting the industry's fiscal contributions to the economy, MFG Day allows manufacturers to showcase technological advancements and foster interest in manufacturing careers, dispelling the notion that manufacturing facilities are nothing but dark, dangerous places for low-skilled workers.

To mark the occasion, McCain is pleased to welcome members of the community and media as part of a City of Vista tour hosted by the San Diego North County Economic Development Council. The tour offers participants a unique introspective into local businesses, including a first-hand look at one of McCain's full-scale manufacturing facilities, which houses state-of-the-art sheet metal fabrication and powder coating operations.
