Studies show that almost 80% of Americans believe manufacturing is crucial to Americans’ standard of living and economic prosperity, as well as our national security. Yet, only a small percentage have ever stepped foot in a modern manufacturing facility or realize just how many products are manufactured in their own communities. National Manufacturing Day was established to change this and give people an opportunity to see firsthand what modern manufacturing is all about.
McCain is participating in National Manufacturing Day for the second year in a row. This year, we will open the doors of our largest US manufacturing facility for tours on Friday, October 3rd at 7:30 am, 9:00 am, and 10:00 am. By inviting the community to go behind-the-scenes at our US manufacturing facility, we hope to dispel some of the misconceptions about manufacturing and enlighten community members about what’s being made in their own backyard.
McCain represents just one of the hundreds of manufacturers across the nation hosting facility tours on National Manufacturing Day. To learn more about the events planned for MFG DAY and to register, visit www.mfgday.com and click "Attend an Event."
